Nicole Mizzi

Social Worker

I am a registered social worker & therapist at the clinic. I bring plenty of experience from Blue Hills Child and Family Centre & North York General Hospital's Mental Health Inpatient & Outpatient Adult Mental Health Departments, leaving me both familiar & confident working with children, adolescents, & adults with various presenting concerns. Much of my practice & experience has focused on emotional regulation, particularly around shame, guilt & anger.

My therapeutic approach includes evidence-based psychotherapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) & Mindfulness Practice, alongside nutritional and lifestyle counselling. I foster an acceptance-based practice, which gives way for my clients to maintain healthier relationships with their emotions & their reactions to their unique life situations. My aim is to support client’s efforts of becoming & staying well through the development of coping skills, strategies & new perspectives.
